Step 4: Issue a Formal Written Notice at Day 7

If rent is 7 days late with no payment and no credible arrangement, send a formal written notice via email or WhatsApp. Keep a copy.

The notice should include:

  • The outstanding amount
  • The original due date
  • A deadline to pay (typically 5 business days)
  • A statement that failure to pay may result in legal action
