Getting started
What is OasisAdmin?
OasisAdmin is an automated rent collection system powered by The Assistant, built for South African landlords. It sends automated SMS and voice call reminders to late-paying tenants, tracks payment status, and keeps you updated — so you spend less time chasing rent.
Do I need to install anything?
No installation needed. OasisAdmin is fully web-based. You log in from any browser on your phone or computer. A mobile app is coming soon.
How do I add my tenants?
After signing up, go to Dashboard → Tenants → Add Tenant. Enter the tenant's name, phone number, unit, rent amount, and due day. The Assistant will automatically start sending reminders when rent is due.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — beta users get 3 months completely free with no credit card required. Join the waitlist on our homepage to claim your beta spot.
Billing & plans
What are the pricing plans?
Starter (R150/month, up to 8 units), Pro (R250/month, up to 16 units), Elite (R350/month, up to 30 units), and Enterprise (custom pricing, 30+ units). All plans include the full feature set — the only difference is how many tenants you can manage.
How do I pay for my subscription?
Subscriptions are paid monthly via PayFast, which accepts most major South African debit and credit cards.
Can I upgrade my plan?
Yes. Go to Dashboard → Billing and select Upgrade. Your new plan takes effect immediately.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription from Dashboard → Billing at any time. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.
Does OasisAdmin touch my tenants' money?
No — never. Tenants pay you directly into your bank account as always. OasisAdmin only sends reminders; we do not collect, hold, or process any rent payments.
The Assistant (SMS & Voice)
How does the automated Assistant work?
On a tenant's rent due date, the Assistant sends an SMS reminder. If rent is not marked as paid within a few days, it escalates to a friendly voice call and further SMS follow-ups — all automatically, without you lifting a finger.
Will tenants know it's automated?
The Assistant uses natural, polite language — not robotic debt-collection scripts. It introduces itself as the OasisAdmin Assistant. All messages comply with POPIA and include an opt-out option.
Can I customise the reminder schedule?
Yes. In Dashboard → Oasis Assistant → Settings, you can set when the first reminder is sent, how many follow-ups to send, and the gap between each one.
What happens after multiple missed payments?
If a tenant does not respond after the full call sequence, you receive an escalation notification and the option to issue a formal legal notice directly from the dashboard.
Can I pause the Assistant for a specific tenant?
Yes. Open the tenant's profile in Dashboard → Tenants and toggle the Assistant off for that tenant. This is useful if you've agreed on a payment arrangement.
Tenant management
How do I mark a tenant's rent as paid?
Open the tenant's profile in Dashboard → Tenants and click Mark as Paid. Enter the payment amount and reference. This stops all further reminders for that month.
Can tenants pay rent through OasisAdmin?
No — tenants pay directly to your bank account (EFT or cash). OasisAdmin tracks and confirms payments; it does not process them.
What is a VRN (Virtual Reference Number)?
Each tenant gets a unique VRN (e.g. OAS-123456) that they use as the payment reference when doing an EFT. This makes it easy to match incoming payments to the right tenant automatically.
Can I manage multiple properties from one account?
Yes. OasisAdmin supports multiple properties (listings) under one account. Each property can have its own set of tenants.
Account & security
How do I reset my password?
On the login page, click Forgot password. Enter your email address and we'll send you a reset link within a minute.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is stored in Supabase (ISO 27001 certified, hosted in EU-West). All connections are encrypted (TLS 1.3). We never store banking passwords or payment card details.
Is OasisAdmin POPIA compliant?
Yes. All tenant communications include an opt-out mechanism. We store only the data necessary to run the service. You can delete a tenant's data at any time from their profile.
Can I have multiple admin users on one account?
Multi-user access is on the roadmap and will be available on the Elite and Enterprise plans. It is not available yet.
