How SMS Reminders Work
OasisAdmin sends SMS reminders based on the due date you set for each tenant. On the due date, a reminder goes out at 8 AM with the tenant's name, the amount owed, and your banking details.
The message is professional, polite, and clearly states what is expected. It includes the tenant's unique payment reference so you can match payments easily regardless of how they pay.
If no payment is detected by Day 2, OasisAdmin escalates automatically to an AI voice call. If still unpaid by Day 5, a WhatsApp follow-up is sent. You do not need to take any action — the system handles each step.
What the SMS Says
The default SMS reads something like: "Hi [Tenant Name], this is a friendly reminder that your rent of R[amount] for [property] was due today. Please make payment to [bank details] using reference [VRN]. Thank you."
All messages are POPIA compliant and include an opt-out option. You can customise the message tone and content in your dashboard settings. The system never uses debt collection language — only polite reminders.
Combined With Voice and WhatsApp
SMS is the first step. But some tenants need more than one touch. OasisAdmin automatically escalates to a voice call and then WhatsApp for tenants who do not respond to the initial SMS.
This multi-channel approach means no tenant falls through the gap. Each channel reaches a different type of person — and the combination gets results that SMS alone cannot achieve.
